About me…
About My Inner Universe …

I believe that when most of us ask ourselves the question “Who am I? What defines me?”, we gaze into the distance, soften our focus, or even close our eyes and observe. What is this “I” that lives within me?
I lived a fairly ordinary, beautiful childhood as a boy, until one day, at the age of 14, I experienced a near-death experience, when I remained underwater for eight minutes beneath a weir on the Ohře River. I experienced a passage to the other side and the journey back again. Since then, I have carried with me the knowledge that my life does not end with death.
Perhaps you know those snow globes in which snowflakes float around and rearrange themselves whenever you shake them. The overall image of the snow-covered landscape changes only slightly, yet fundamentally, compared with the one before. Something similar happened within my inner world.
And changes were taking place outside me as well. It was 1989, and society, my parents, and I were all experiencing new, powerful, and valuable experiences.
The School of Life suddenly opened up new possibilities — opportunities to taste and discover the meaning of Freedom and its many faces. In every school, there are IMPORTANT teachers who serve as our guides. Sometimes things worked out better, sometimes worse, but today, as I write these words, I know and feel that perhaps it could not have been any better.
My first great teachers were my mother, father, and brother.
My mom taught me how to work with time. How not to allow others to decide when things should happen if it is not in harmony with me.
My dad awakened in me a love of music, playing the guitar, and an understanding of how important it is to keep rhythm with another musician and create harmony with a second voice.
My brother and I, as brothers often do, used to tease and provoke each other. But today, our relationship is built on respect, mutual regard, and the words of our father: “Blood is thicker than water — remember that.”
Mathematics is a science that teaches us to think carefully about numbers and spatial relationships. I was fortunate to meet a teacher who, in a very gentle and free-spirited way, encouraged us to develop our own personal path towards this science.
Mathematics is woven into everything around us, as well as into our inner world — into our imagination and into the space where so many things are meant to make sense. Mathematics is everywhere.
Perhaps the most fascinating mission in the personal School of Life is being a parent. I had the opportunity to experience it twice. My son Lukáš and my daughter Lenka gently, yet forever, opened another part of my Self within me — a part that is deeply vulnerable and sensitive.
It is our personal weakness, a place where we learn to cultivate and open the part of ourselves that represents the relationship between I – We. It is a space of respect, appreciation, kindness, and warmth of heart.
After graduating in electrical engineering for water utilities, I longed to study psychology, but perhaps a lack of courage and self-doubt held me back. Today I can say that life continually brought me into situations in which I developed my understanding of psychology, always in ways and at a pace that matched my readiness.
After ten years working in the water utilities field, I turned the helm toward a dream of earning an income that would make me financially independent and allow me to provide security for my family. I entered a new profession: building envelope installation.
I was, in a sense, a tailor who sewed custom-made coats for buildings designed by an architect and then brought closer to reality by a project designer. Most of the projects involved large, glass buildings with a wide variety of shapes and geometric forms.
Fate brought me back to mathematics and psychology — how amusing.
Working at heights, assembling enormous glass blocks, and coordinating all the workers involved in the installation process was an incredibly enriching experience. I am grateful for those nearly 20 years.
Because I was exposed for a long time to the harsh, disharmonious sounds of construction work, I naturally began seeking Peace, Silence, and Solitude. I delved deeper and deeper into my inner layers and began to discover how the designer within me had translated the idea of the architect-creator's perfection of creation.
I was fascinated by how every single cell within each of us knows what to do and how to do it, in coordination with one another and with all the billions of other cells that together form one complete human body.
Since my experience at the age of fourteen, I perceive myself as a kind of energy composed of different parts that have certain principles and relationships among them, together forming a single whole that is itself connected to an even greater whole. The nature of my Ego is curious and inquisitive, exploring and discovering in a playful way. My Soul is very sensitive and can often empathize deeply with the soul of another person. My Spirit, representing the aspect of We within me — the part that connects us to the whole, just as individual cells are connected to the greater organism — is continually learning the meaning of unconditionality. I perceive every encounter and every story in my daily life through all the different parts of my whole. Everything is one beautiful piece of music, the melody of my — our — life.
Music, which has accompanied me since childhood, when my parents used to sing and my father played the guitar, opened a path for me not only on an emotional level, but over time and through experience, also into the realm of science — as I discovered just how much music can do. For more than thirty years, I have performed on stage as a self-taught musician, where the mind and body are not merely instruments that read notes, but also instruments that feel the music. They feel the energy that comes together in that particular moment among musicians. Sometimes, when everything comes together and circumstances allow it, two or more musicians can merge into a single consciousness experiencing that moment together. When individual consciousnesses meet on the level of Spirit – We. It is perhaps a state of Symbiosis. Over time, I began searching more deeply and became increasingly interested in information that leads to an inner feeling of happiness. I also became interested in the meanings of numbers, particularly in the connections and relationships between them. There is probably no need to write much more about numbers, but believe me, they are simply another form of language. Just as with words, you can also perceive relationships between numbers through your imagination. For example, when I write the verse, “The blossoming apple tree will soon be full of beautiful red apples,” certain mathematical patterns and relationships can also describe this image. It always depends on which layer our imagination takes us to — whether to the level of the designer, or deeper still, all the way to the thoughts and relationships that the architect had when creating this space we call Earth.
I am fascinated by the profound thoughts of the architect that are reflected in everything that surrounds us, as well as in everything that defines us. After spending time exploring numbers and sacred geometry, I had a mystical experience in which I became aware that my journey with the vibrations of Tibetan singing bowls also deeply fulfills me. Through the sounds and vibrations of Tibetan singing bowls, people can enter deeper states of awareness — Delta and Theta — and experience a Journey through their own inner space. Not only through their physical body, but also through the other energies that surround the human body.
The more deeply and gently I allow myself to experience my inner space, the more profound the changes become in the space around me. I am transforming every day. Grain by grain, my understanding changes and evolves. I no longer hurry for the overall picture to transform; I simply enjoy every subtle change, as well as the moments of stillness when it may seem that nothing is happening.
With love and deep respect for life,
Tomáš Minařík
